Kuwait's cabinet has unanimously nominated Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad AL JABER al-Sabah as the new Amir of the country. Sheikh Sabah, who has been the de facto ruler of Kuwait for the past four years, has replaced Shaikh Saad al-Abdulla al-Sabah.
